What is the best way to download a file from the internet if you have the URL.
I’ve been using Safari, and then pulling the file out of the downloads folder, but users can change their downloads folder location in safari and that causes issues. Plus, it would probably be better not to have to open a window to do a download, or have to parse a long list of downloaded files to find the one just downloaded.
Any suggestions?
Here are a couple:
AppleScriptObj-C using NSURL.
"do shell script" and the curl command.
Sent from iCloud's ridiculous UI, so, sorry about the formatting
