Hello,

I sent this yesterday, but alas from the wrong account. Probably it’s still of interest.

I use a very small Unix program „checkModifierKeys", which I got from somewhere and compiled.
I use it as
return 0 + (do shell script "/Applications/Utilities/checkModifierKeys " & theKey)
for the keys shift, option, cmd, control, capslock.
If anybody wants it I can send it and/or the source key.

Cheers
Thomas

Hello Thomas

Maybe it's one of those available at :

https://gist.github.com/Orangenhain/2988387

https://sourceforge.net/p/ditto-cp/ditto/ci/master/tree/Accels.cpp

On 2010/07/22, Stephan Klieme published its own CLI named checkModifierKeys but I have no valid link to get it.
