Today I ran an old script (used under 10.10) and I discover that it doesn't behave as it did.

Under 10.10,
POSIX path of (path to temporary items from user domain)
returned --> "/Users/yvankoenig/Library/Caches/TemporaryItems/"
while
POSIX path of (path to temporary items from local domain)
returned --> "/private/var/folders/_c/28fl86ms6nz9qfzr6m4rd9fm0000gn/T/TemporaryItems/"

Under Sierra, both return the same
--> "/private/var/folders/_c/28fl86ms6nz9qfzr6m4rd9fm0000gn/T/TemporaryItems/"

I looked in my user folder and saw that there is no folder TemporaryItems at the "old" location.
I looked also on a disk running 10.11 and saw that there is no more TemporaryItems folder on it.

So I guess that the change was introduced with 10.11.
Is it documented somewhere or is it a bug which didn't surface before ?

Yvan,

I get the same results as you on 10.11.6
