Likely you should be looking at why your app has got leaks and fixing those rather than just restarting it.
Can’t remember if you need Xcode command-line tools for this, but try doing
man leaks
in Terminal for more info, or use the Leaks tool in Xcode Instruments. I just wanted to know if there was a shell script that would quit the App,
man kill
