Hello Anthony,

It appears that toggling that value from true to false thru the GUI (System Preferences) now requires the user’s consents, even a double one: the user’s password, then a confirmation.

In fact, this appears as a welcome security enhancement.

I guess above (silent) failure just reflects the fact.

So far for the security enhancement:

	do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.screensaver askForPassword -int 0"
