(1)Remove preferences files

Script Editor in macOS 10.10.x hungs up when the contents in the edit field is pinched-in (zoomed).
The pinch-in operation is available with Script Editor, but it is dangerous.
So, you have to remove ScriptEditor and AppleScript related preference files from ~/Library/Preferences/

com.apple.ScriptEditor2.plist
com.apple.applescript.plist

(2)Remove unsaved scripts from iCloud Drive (~/Library/Mobile Documents/) folder

The damaged unsaved scripts saved in this folder will interrupt Script Editor’s launch action.
If you re-install macOS, damaged unsaved scripts will return from iCloud and choke your Script Editor forever like a zombie.
Delete every unsaved script files in your Mobile Documents folder.

(3)Check your OSAXs, frameworks, script libraries

Sometimes these file may broken. Move these files under your home folder.

If you make another user account on your Mac. You can launch Script Editor with another new user account.
Yosemite was released with a lot of bug.  The most easiest way is to update to macOS 10.11.

Help Please! Applescript Editor goes into tight loop and only Force quit will stop it. Ignores
any attempt to do anything. Doesn’t record or show any other sign of life except spinning
the beach ball.
