Good point, thanks for the suggestion.
There is another open-sourced player called “IINA” that seems to be written
mostly in Swift, but based on the open-sourced “mpv” movie player, and that is
scriptable with the “Lua” language I think.
I was able to download, compile, and run “IINA” with no errors, which is
amazing I think. But getting in and modifying the code is beyond my meager
understanding for now.
