Yes, I referred to that tutorial in my article (just in case you missed it, it
is here:
https://mac4translators.blogspot.jp/2017/12/automation-scheduling-file-and.html).
The problem is not whether one can or cannot start a job at a specific
time/date with the existing tools, it is that one cannot automate the creation
of such triggers, as I described in the article.
"open file alert" in Calendar is not scriptable, and none of the tools I found
are either (I could not test LaunchControl because there was no free trial).
So if one wants to automate the creation os such triggers, it is necessary to
create them with AppleScript.
