Wow !
Thank you Chris, but since I change the environment language from time to time, any GUI-scripting is high level wizardry for me that I won't touch with a stick ... :-) I just got bit today working on a Numbers template that I had (or so I thought) safely named with a Japanese string, to discover this morning that when Numbers runs in Japanese, it's got a template with the exact same name that has priority over mine (the name was trivial, it was "invoice", but still)...
It really kind of sucks that the stuff that a script beginner would want to do the most (fiddle with Finder to organize a workflow) is not working properly. And what about that guy who was fired a few months back that everyone praised ?
Besides for that, I like the way you set headers for your scripts. Which tool do you use ?

Finder-view scripting is a bit problematic to the consternation (profanity elided) of many Mac scripters. Some things work, and some things don't. Some things only work after you refresh a window. To add and remove elements to a window you'll have to use GUI-Scripting as in script 1 below.
