Years ago I wrote a script (with help from this list) that would take an image in a Quark document, open the linked file in Photoshop and crop and scale it to match the appearance on the quark page. The relinked image would display at 100% with no offset.
This saved a ton of space in exporting as PDF.
Now I need to do the same thing with InDesign and PhotoShop, and I was hoping that this particular wheel has been invented and someone is willing to share
