G’day Bob
I’ve been extending the sides and top of Acrobat PDF’s for years.
Whart eluded me was the necessity to trim them to crop boxes. The artwork outside of crop boxes cannot be removed, and setting the media box to the crop box, then extending it, made the surplus image parts display on the printed pages.
By sheer trial and error, I discovered that first saving the crop boxed image to a TIFF file, then re-opening it as a PDF, actually trimmed to the crop box, which could then be extended, and by Java Script, 4 extra text boxes added in the extension.
However, no one, in forums, or on the net, could tell me what the maximum size of TIFFS could be on a Mac, in saving from Acrobat.
So, I bought an A3 inkjet yesterday, and discovered my maximum TIFF size had increased from A4 to A3.
Never give upon the impossible!
Regards
Santa
