Thoughts on Workflow acquisition?

  • Subject: Thoughts on Workflow acquisition?

Yesterday there was an announcement of the Apple acquisition of the iOS automation app called Workflow. The team of three individuals that developed that product will be moving to Apple.

Here is a discussion of the announcement at AppleInsider:
http://appleinsider.com/articles/17/03/22/apple-acquires-automation-app-workflow-title-to-remain-on-app-store

Does this suggest a tighter integration and possible stronger automation platform on iOS?
Does this possibly have implications to automation on macOS? Will this replace Automator?
Does this mean a common automation platform between iOS and macOS?

Your thoughts?

David Gregg
