Drat...  But I'm not at all surprised.

With your existing code, once you have the name or path of the app (or an NSURL), you should be able to do the rest more simply:

I really need to use the kMDItemCFBundleIdentifier rather than the app-name.  I don't usually change app-names, but there are exceptions.
