Hmm...  Open location is supposed to specifically target the default app for the given URL, so that's clearly broken.

What happens if you try this?

do shell script "open 'https://www.google.com/finance?client=ob&q=NASDAQ:AAPL'"

(I've been waiting to install macOS 10.12.4, so I can't test it myself.)


Hello Chris

The shell script instruction behaves flawlessly when the code is saved as an application.
When t's saved as an application, the original code fails under the first issue of 10.12.6 beta.

I will send a report.
