Sorry, Steve, no award from me (not that anyone cares what I think!).
For me, your script was incomplete, missing out the crucial steps of getting and setting the clipboard. Yes, most of us can fill in the gaps, but a good script should “just work”. :)
Also, though I know this will be controversial, personally I just hate scripts that use text item delimiters and don't set them back to their default afterwards. ;-)
In the “winning” script, I also liked the neat line of using the count to add the comma. Trick-thinking like that make me smile!
Fortunately, I’m the judge of nothing but my own irrelevance, so don’t sweat it!
