with all due respect, I think the Apple ALG is the worst way to start learning
AppleScript.
It is a good reference, good to lookup some command or feature, but not good to
learn by.
But even then, the ALG online search is so bad . . . (see below)
Just my 2c.
Also, the search of the online guide is terrible, and I'm not sure the last PDF
is up to date.
I'd suggest using Dash<https://kapeli.com/dash> -- a combo code snippet
manager, and great documentation search tool. I use it just for the search
feature.
Dash also provides documentation search of many other languages.
