I don't remember the original thread very clearly.
You did try a POSIX Path too — yes?
I would try:
Alias (apparently failed)
Plain HFS_Path
File HFS_Path
Document HFS_Path
POSIX Path
Posix Files
FURL --> set theFURL to (path to downloads folder) as «class furl» --> apply
as «class furl» to a file
There are some tips on scripting Excel 2016 here that may or may not offer some
clues.
