Shocking statement considering Shane once did a live OS update while teaching
an AppleScript course (caveat: it was during a stretch of time when minor OS
upgrades seemed rock solid).

IMHO, there is an upgrade weariness spreading over the tech world right now.
It’s not just casual users, but full-on geeks as well. Especially those of us
who have had their Mail databases trashed multiple times. But I’ll admit I've
always been leery.

I have not upgraded yet, though a couple of users have reported that an
application created in long-dead, never-really-real AppleScript Studio is
failing. The failure seems fundamental (as if the application itself can no
longer see its own interface elements). Still, it has lasted a long, long time…
