Steve,

I’m one upgrade above you (10.12.6, Mail 10.3). Curiously, your script works
perfectly as is—as a Mail rule.

Color me surprised, as I don’t expect to use the words “perfectly” and “Mail”
in the same sentence. At least not regarding scripting.

Have you tried creating a new user account? Or could it be a privilege issue
with your com.apple.mail folder? These are just guesses in the dark, which is
what we all do with Mail scripting.
