Modify Time Of Day script

Hello scripters,

I'm a beginning user of apple script.

One of the scripts that comes with osx is Time Of Day.applescript.

This is in the /Library/Scripts/VoiceOver/ directory.

Using voiceover one can attach key combinations to perform voice functions,
including run apple scripts.

The default binding is the "t" key using what is called a key commander in
voiceover.

The script speaks date and time.

I have been trying to seperate these and assign them to seperat keys,ie. "t"
for time and "d" for date.

Looking at the script I have come to realize it is beyond my beginner/'s skills
to divide the original into these two functions because much of it is not
understood.

Has anyone an idea how to make two scripts from the original to do as wished?

Thanks much for any help.

XB
