Hey Steve,

I already gave a fully adequate description of what I want.

The user can't use normal input method to produce an umlauted character.

The user can select the character and run a macro.

Give me a break.

My request is simple.

I KNOW how to do it with vanilla AppleScript methods.

I KNOW how to do it with regular expressions in AppleScript, and the shell, and
Perl, and Ruby, and Python, and JavaScript.

I WANT to KNOW if there's if there's a “transformation” method available in
AppleScriptObjC.

If you don't know the answer to that then you're wasting time...

Chris
