Integrate applescript as an additional menu in Indesign

Normally I start InDesign scripts by doubleclicking on them from within the
Scripts panel.
Does anyone know how I can nicely integrate an applescript in the menu
interface of InDesign CC 2019?
I once saw a situation (with InDesign CS6) in which an additional menu was
added between the Window and the Help menu. Under the menu appeared the script.
Unfortunately I can’t replicate that situation.
It should be configured in a way so that I can also easily remove the
additional menu when it’s no longer needed on a certain Mac.
