Hi Jeremy,
"display notification" seems better in this case.
This command is not modal dialog and does not case time out.
Or...you can make new entry to Notes.app. If Notes entry updated via iCloud,
you can know the information by iPhone or iPad.
A friend of mine lent me an Elgato Stream Deck. It can launch AppleScript with
default installed Open action.
