How do I set "Always open in icon view" for a Folder ?

The object name says all:

How do I set “Always open in icon view” for a Folder ?


I have a script that resize a folder, set the view to icon view, set "snap to grid", etc.


But on my M1 MacBook Pro, the folder do not always open in icon view.


Recording the “Always open in icon view” CheckBox click does nothing.


Questing with Google lead to a vast waste of time…
