History repeats! I wrote AAEB when the app I was depending on was no longer
supported. I needed a bridge to connect Apache to my db app.
Anyway, I haven’t updated The Apache-Apple Event Bridge in some time as use /
interest was minimal. Glad there’s still interest. A few customers moved it
ahead with a few changes to the config/use. One big issue, if I remember
correctly, was a security restriction in an update that prevented it from
running as Apache couldn’t launch an AppleScript app due to a limitation on
access to the UI. I may have notes on a method around that with a paired helper
app.
I’ll forward email I’ve received on any workarounds. Sorry, no plans to update
or research further at this time.
