AppleScript Revisions

Apple’s AppleScript Language Guide has a table listing revisions

 but doesn't elaborate on them.  Moving from Snow Leopard to Ventura has been
quite a  change for me.  Is there a document somewhere that describes the
revisions and their implications in detail?  Most of the classic AppleScript
textbooks were written long ago.
