Script Editor Quit Unexpectedly

  • Subject: Script Editor Quit Unexpectedly

I recently migrated to Sonoma 14.2.1.  Script Editor shows as V2.11.

Every time I Close a window, all Script Editor windows disappear and the following alert shows up:

Moreover, when I reopen Script Editor (either from the alert or independently), the same windows reopen!

I can open new script windows, compile (⌘K) and Save (⌘S) scripts just fine.  I simply cannot Close their windows.  At least, they do not stay closed.

My desktop is getting cluttered with scripts.

For workarounds, I can use Script Debugger or Mission Control.  But I'd like to figure this out.

Any ideas?
