As you said Richard, I saw your question and answers.
But as I understand the asoc philosophy, asoc gives us a larger access to objective-C capabilities.
I see that within objective-C (XCode project: ImageApp) it can be done, so if I follow the logic, it can be done in asoc also. The only thing is I am rather a newby on that point, so if anyone can give some input ?
Kind Regards,
Droom

I asked this some time ago, and the consensus seemed to be that everyone else was using ExifTools.
There is a pdf of JEITA CP-3451 at http://www.exif.org/specifications.html, but as it says on the second page:
“Translation without guarantee in the event of any doubt arising, the original standard in Japanese is to be evidence.”
I suspect (as they evidently did) that a lot is lost in the translation!
I gave up, but if you have the time and energy to attack it, do report your findings

How can I get the EXIF data of an image, making use of objective C using the asoc bridge ?
(So without using ExifTools or Image Events or any other third party product)
I took a look at "ImageApp" but it's quit complicated to me to translate this directly to asoc.
Can anyone set me on track ?
Kind Regards
