First, yes, I have read through what seem to be the relevant bits in
Shane's book. (I DO try to do that most times.)
So what I have is a "Time out window". Someone clicks the button, and a
HUD appears with the kind of time out it is (Pulled from an existing
property), and a timer. The timer I can do in and of itself, that's not as
issue. The issues I'm stumped on:
1) For the Window, I have a label that should read "<teamname>" and
another one that reads "Timeout". I've tried binding the first label to
the hostTeamName property, but it doesn't show up when the HUD appears.
The static label shows up correctly, so I'm guessing the label issue is
related to the binding?
2) How do I go about targeting the hud for things like the timer, so it
starts when the HUD appears and is killed when the window is closed?
(Currently, I have a button attached to the HUD's orderFront. Should that
be makeKeyAndOrderFront instead? Also, there are no outlets set up yet.
I'm stuck already, don't need to grind myself further in.)
