I found a cure for the forced-case issue a while back... If you close out the file Xcode and AS Script Editor, then open the AppleScript file in TextEdit (or any other basic text editor, I guess), you can make the changes in letter-case there. Save and close it in TextEdit then open again in Xcode and your changes will stick.
