ASOC calling Ruby class?
ASOC calling Ruby class?

Probably an unusual question here...
I have developed some apps for my company in Applescript Studio - they are in various states of porting to AppleScript Obj-C to ensure they run and are maintainable...
As I've been learning ASOC though, I've also been dabbling in Objective-C, and now in Ruby...
I'm really liking a lot of what I see in Ruby, and understand that there is a MacRuby that is very similar to ASOC in that it uses the Cocoa Bridges, sits on top of Cocoa Foundation frameworks, etc.
So the question is:
Can I take my ASOC apps and start putting in some Ruby classes and use them? In particular I'm really liking some of the improved methods of parsing JSON and REST stuff and would like to move those portions to Ruby.
I know I can use Obj-C classes, so hoping I can do the same with Ruby.
If so, anyone have ideas on how to get started?
Thanks
