Okay, so I'm writing a score/timer application for the local roller derby
team, and most of it is pretty skate, but the one thing stumping me is the
timers. I need three countdown timers, all running minutes:seconds
The IB part seems simple, use a text field with a date formatter that's set
up as padded minutes:padded seconds.
However, in looking around, all the date info I can find deals with "real"
dates and times, or calendar pickers. There's not much on arbitrary stuff
like this. On setting the initial value, is it text, is it a number?
I can set off a timer to fire once a second, but then if the value is text,
do I have to keep a number value around, decrement it by one, then convert?
Any tips?

I had no system of shooting as such. It is definitely more in the feeling
side of things that these skills develop. I was at the front five and a half
years, and you just got a feeling for the right amount of lead.
