Did you try: controlTextDidBeginEditing? Because textDidChange requires that
the user actually types a character before it¹s triggered, if I remember
correctly.

Yes, I tried this, but controlTextDidBeginEditing does not appear to be triggered by simply focusing on a field. Thanks for the suggestion.
