How do I get the selected title of a separate popup button

I need to get the selected title of a popup button that is not the currently addressed button.

I've read Shanes book, and gone through his Menus example, but cannot find how to address the title correctly.

This…

 display dialog advertisementHigh's |menu|()'s  title() as text
        
gives me an answer of 'OtherViews', but I tried getting the title of it, but no go.
