Thanks Shane
I honestly don’t know where I got that code from if you didn’t supply it.
However on your asking for more information, I discovered that I was using a file created with QuarkXPress 10, without an extension, called ‘Project1’. It opens fine in Quark 2015. It’s a QuarkXPress Project File.
BUT, if I insert it into an email, and send it, on receival it now becomes a TextEdit allocated text file. Never did that under Yosemite that I can recall.
I’ve update my error trapping, but my Clients stand to lose any QuarkXPress files they’re sent without an extension.
Regards
Santa

Um, no way I wrote that code. I might have written snippets or suggested changes that you have incorporated in your code, but no way I wrote it. Just sayin'. set theTempList to my urlsInFolder:(posixPath) # Failing
We're not going to be able to guess why the handler is failing if you don't show us what's in it.
