While you have it working, go into the Finder and make a duplicate of AppDelegate.applescript. Do your steps 5 and 6, confirm the handlers aren't recognized, and make another duplicate of the file. Email them both to me, along with a screenshot of your Preferences -> Editing settings in Explorer.
