Applescript dates duly altered to NS dates.

The defaultsTwo was a desperate attempt to try and save the dates.

The short answer is that you can't: you can only add objects of the classes supported by property lists, and that doesn't include AppleScript dates.

But I'm puzzled by your defaultsTwo. There can only ever be one instance of user defaults, which you already have in your defaults variable, so I can't see the what you're trying to achieve with defaultsTwo.
