G’day again.

All’s OK, thank you, and sorry to bother you all.

After being awake most of the night, and struggling with it, I finally found what I was looking for, after posting, in this page  which I  had not bothered to revert to, thinking I knew everything about Applescript, and blaming it on perhaps the file type I was using, or wrong formatting.

Would you believe in all the years I’ve been scripting (since it was first invented), I have never, ever had cause to use ‘as real’ before, and did not know anything about it. Once I referred to the ‘sending’ variable as an 'as real’, everything worked.

My mind can sometimes be as stubborn as a mule, and overlook the obvious. Ah well, another lesson learnt.

Regards

Santa
