I've looked at this problem some more, and I'm reasonably confidant that the
fix will be a simple change to the relevant .bridgesupport file, so with any
luck it will go away before 10.13 ships. Post those bugs, and feel free to
reference bug #33841735 in your bug reports.

In the meantime, I've written a simple framework that includes a patched
.bridgesupport file that works around the problem. You'll have to add the
framework to your projects, but that's probably going to be easier than
fiddling with code -- and hopefully it will only be needed as a temporary
measure.
