G’day from Oz.
Runing 10.12.3
I’ve been using the stand-alone version of Acrobat Pro on my iMac, whereas my Clients have been using the version that comes packaged with the Creative Cloud suite.
Their version was 3 builds behind my version, and my App was freezing under their Acrobat on their iMac.
So, I purchased the Cloud package, re-installed (back dated) Acrobat, and immediately got a freeze. Easily fixed once I knew what the problem was.
However, I’ve since run over 1000 email through my App, and have noticed that the older Acrobat…
a) is slower (I estimate 10%)
b) does not work as happily with Applescript (in the form of ASObjC, that’s mainly why it’s slower)
c) crashes far more frequently.
d) I’ve had to extensively re-code to hadle the older versions problems.
Why don’t Adobe synchronize their versions? Would keep me happier.
