The most exciting time of the year for Macintosh users is only a few
weeks away!
Macworld Conference & Expo is coming to San Francisco January 5-9, and
user group leaders and members will once again have a strong presence.
Whether you are a leader planning to attend User Group University, a
user group member taking a break in the User Group Lounge, a student who
wants to find more out about user groups or an old hand volunteering
your time as a User Group Guide, the Macworld/User Group University
Planning Team has made sure there is something for you. Please stop by

The seventh User Group University takes place Monday, January 5 from
9:30 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. at the Argent Hotel (50 Third Street) in San
Francisco, and it's shaping up to be a great one. Registration begins
at 9:00 a.m. Attendees will receive a special UGU SF 2004 tee shirt and
a CD with materials from UGU presenters and vendors. Lunch and evening
refreshments are also included.

Come to the Adobe Leader Breakfast on January 8 and be dazzled by

2] - iWeek Comes to an End
.......................
Chise Tejima, Apple's Liaison for Japan, reports that iWeek Expo's
organizers have decided to discontinue the annual all-Mac spring event
after five successful years. With a new Apple Store in Tokyo and another
coming to Osaka, the user groups involved felt that the need for such
events has dimished. Organizers and volunteers held an iWeek Farewell
Party to share stories and comraderie.
