1] - Tools to Use: ASTO Training Courses
......................
Ever wonder how consultants and sales reps seem to know so much about
Apple products, often the same day that they are released? Apple Sales
and Training Online (ASTO) is your secret resource for a wealth of
training materials and live seminars. This month, why not try the new
iLife course, see a live preview of new features in 10.4 (Tiger) or
take in an on-demand webcast.
Learn like the pros for free.

......................
Okay, so you ordered the NFR iLife and did the ASTO training, but do
you have the resources to show your group all that iLife can do? The
iLife '05 Demo Movies, Music and Photos DVD has everything you need to
make your next meeting a real standout.

3] - Tools to Use: Keep Your Information Current
......................
Some groups update their locator information every six months, while
other files have not been updated since 2000. When problems come up
with ASW or ASTO registration, it is often because the group's records
are not current. Is your information up to date?
Remember to update when your group has elections.

1] - Staying Connected: iChat and Woodward MUG
......................
The Woodward MUG of Quincy, MA has an interesting answer to the
problem of getting speakers - they started an ongoing program of guest
speakers via iChat. Mac luminaries from nearby Boston to distant
Houston and California are able to be at their meetings without jet
lag or expense. The group's creativity may be why almost half of the
student body are MUG members.
See their speaker line up.

2] - Spreading the Word: Kinki MUG's Chise Mishima
......................
Kinki MUG has always been a very active group and this month is no
exception. For their March meeting, Chise Mishima (Web designer and
long-time Regional Liaison for Japan) will be presenting a look at the
history, creativity and impact of Apple's amazing commercials at the
Osaka Apple Store.

3] - The Beauties of Nature: You, a Mac and the Wilderness
......................
What could be better than a regular user group gathering? How about an
April 15 user group wilderness weekend at Silver Falls State Park?
Portland MUG's well-known and much-loved Mac Camp is back for another
three days of classes, networking and collaboration. As always, space
is limited so make your reservations early.
Oregon's the place to be in April.

(Congratulations on another successful MacCamp to president Charles
DeVore and board members of PMUG.)

4] - Spotlight on FCP Groups: San Francisco Cutters
......................
It may seem like Final Cut Pro groups are the new kids on the block,
but the San Francisco Cutters are celebrating their five year
anniversary on March 30 with a full evening of speakers, party and
raffle. Better yet, join them and other FCP groups from around the
world on April 20 for the largest gathering of FCP gurus and users on
the planet - part of NAB's most exciting year ever.
See what's new with the SF Cutters.

5] - Campus Groups: Be a Star at Brigham Young University
......................
Are you the next Steven Spielberg or Oliver Stone? Brigham
University's Mac User Group is hosting their first BYU iOscars event,
an amateur iMovie competition. An April 1 premiere night will let the
audience vote on the winners.
Be a star or vote on one.
