1] - News to Use: Changing Ambassadors
......................
One question that comes up a lot is how to change ambassadors. It is
easy once you know how. Each new ambassador qualifies for his or her
own Apple Sales Web (ASW) account, so there is no transfer needed.
Simply log on to your group's information in the Locator, modify the
records to reflect the group's new ambassador and then have your new
ambassador apply for an ASW account. Can't remember the information
for applying? Contact your User Group Regional Liaison for a quick
how-to.
Update your group's records.

1] - Fun in the Sun: Four Picnics and a Swap Meet
.......................
For many user groups, summer is a time for outdoor fun. WatRMUG in
Waterloo offers an end of the year BBQ, while Main Line MUG's sixth
annual picnic will have Andy Inhatko as a special guest and speaker.
Washington Apple Pi welcomes Bob "Dr. Mac" LeVitus for their annual
picnic, this time at Pat and Ron Fauquet's home, while the Houston
Area Apple User Group (HAAUG) are hosting their semi-annual
swap meet.
Denia Wurster, ambassador and Macworld volunteer reports that the
Apple Computer Information and Data Exchange of Rochester (Apple
Cider) is once again holding their traditional picnic, with give
aways, raffle prizes and good things on the grill.
See what's happening.

2] - Berube Podcast: Fifth Annual NAB Supermeet
.......................
Members of the Boston Final Cut Pro User Group (BOSFCPUG) were among
the Pro Apps users who met at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas during
NAB2006 for the fifth annual NAB Supermeet, where a few lucky artists
were able to have their work seen by a full house of filmmakers,
broadcasters, FCP editors, gurus and enthusiasts. Wish you had been
there? Dan Berube of BOSFCPUG has posted a Podcast about this popular
event.
Listen.

3] - Stores Open & User Groups are There: Mini'app'les in Minnetonka
......................
It would be reasonable to think that a region with three Apple
stores in a 30 mile area would hardly see a big crowd when a fourth
store opened. Not so in Minnesota, where store staff greeted
Ambassador Bruce Thompson, the members of Mini'app'les and more than
400 other Apple enthusiasts. The fact that the store is a new format
made it even more fun.
See a photo taken that day.
