APPLE SEMINARS AT COMPUTERFEST IN OHIO
Apple-Dayton, a special interest group of the Dayton Microcomputer
Association, is participating in Computerfest. Fall 2002, the large
regional computer enthusiast event which crosses many platforms and
interests in Dayton, Ohio. A variety of Apple seminars will be part of
the event, and include topics such MacOS X 10.2, the iApps, Final Cut Pro
and DVD Studio Pro. Complete information, links and schedules are
available on the Apple Dayton site.


MUG LEADERS MEET WITH GARR REYNOLDS OF APPLE IN MICHIGAN SUMMIT
Sixteen user group leaders representing eight Michigan user groups
gathered in Ann Arbor this past week to participate in a Michigan
Leader's Summit hosted by Garr Reynolds, Apple's User Group Program
Manager. The participants discussed the just-concluded User Group
University, the impact of Apple's announcements at the Expo, and other
topics of interest to their organizations.


MacDINNER PHOTO GALLERY ONLINE
MacDinner 10.2, hosted by MacWaves in New Jersey, was a huge success.
What else would you expect with a keynote address by Shawn King of Your
Mac Life and a speical presentation by Dave Marra of Apple? Photos of the
event are available on the MaMUGs web site.


HONG KONG MACINTOSH USER GROUP'S "MAC USER CARNIVAL" PHOTO GALLERY ONLINE
The Hong Kong Macintosh User Group's recent Mac User Carnival was a huge
success, with approx. 1000 participants. Check out the Photo Gallery on
their site, as well as an article about the event (in Chinese). (7/31)

The leaders, who appreciated the opportunity to share ideas, stories and
their visions, agreed to try to meet quarterly to coordinate their
activities, work together to help evangelize the Macintosh, and to
provide better service to their members.

The meeting was organized by Warren Williams and Cathleen Merritt of the
AppleWorks Users Group and Sandy Foderick, the User Group Advisory
Board's Regional Liaison for the North Central United States. (By
