Dear leaders,
I cannot think of a better place to ask this question, sorry if it is
"that" irrelevant. Any links, ideas, documents, news about the M$-Apple
agreement that was supposed to finish last summer? Is there an
announcement of extension? a new agreement?
Tunc,
With all the options turning up, i don't think it particularly matters.
At the time we needed the endorsement of MS to validate our existence
to the business world. That time has passed.
As people are coming around in the consumer market (Windows and Linux
users) and some slowly in the corporate sector I don't believe that we
have to worry about MS's approval or cooperation anymore. Sure they're
still the 800 lb. gorilla but all things inevitably grow old and
wither. With new players like the people at ThinkFree, MS is no more a
lifeline than a memory.
Sincerely,
Frank Petrie
