Not necessarily, I instituted a membership program which included dues
shortly after I became president. Our club wanted to do things, but had
no income. We have our meetings at the local highschool, so we don't pay
rent for meeting space. All of our dues goes towards our projects - new
projector, sound system, member perks, etc.
