Most of the publicity that Apple has put out states that the $99/49 .Mac service is the only way to keep all of your e-mail accounts. I myself have fell into the trap of believing that I would be responsible for $49 for each of my e-mail accounts. After research I have found the following:
The .Mac Frequently Asked Questions page states that if you would like to simply add an e-mail account to your .Mac account it will only cost you an extra $10 a year per account.
The .Mac Help file states that before Sept. 30, 2002 you can convert your .Mac trial account to an e-mail only account but I'm not fully sure of what it means:
