Oh, goodness. I barely got to know him! I hope they do get the ball
moving quickly, though...
In any event, I wanted to share some Good ThingsC that we're up to and
get a few suggestions, if possible, too!
We recently began offering a toll-free voice line where local folks can
call for information on CUinWV or for help with their Mac. Several user
group members and leaders regularly check a voicemail box where these
voicemail messages are deposited and return calls for basic
troubleshooting and assistance. For serious issues, they can be
referred to their local Apple Authorized repair shop. I convinced a
local ISP (which happens to also be the company I work for!) to pay for
the toll-free number in exchange for a brief blurp on the voicemail box
announcement.
We're also working on setting up training sessions for beginner Mac
users. We've secured space with Internet access and a few recent-model
Macs. But I'm trying to find a script that the instructors could use.
Would anybody out there know of any?
That's it for now! Thanks, again.
