Hi folks!
I'm hoping that you can all contribute your wisdom. I'm looking for
your ten best tricks and tips for OSX under Jaguar. You know, those
cool shortcuts, methods, work-arounds, and general stuff that doesn't
get thought of by the long-time user who may just be wondering if the
command+Z finder trick works that they keep hearing about (it does, by
the way - there's one now!).
e.g., You don't need an FTP client (fetch, transmit, etc.) for standard
uploading and site management and can log in by pressing command+K and
entering the URL (
ftp://ftp.whateveritis.com and your user
name/password). Mounts up like any other remote disk. (Thanks Dave
Marra!)
Please send your thoughts. (I do have Mr. Pogue's new book and love it.
I'm just looking for more of a "hot sheet" kind of way to present this
for UGs. Serious stuff, please, folks. Like, I really need more sarcasm
so much. I would really appreciate hearing from you (directly or via
the list or both). email@hidden
TIA,
d
