In a recent article online, Kim Commando writes: "But once I got to know the
iMac, I found more similarities between Windows and OS X than differences."
Its an interesting read and though I do not agree with all her conclusions,
it is nice to see a little honesty journalism being offered about Apple and
it's products.

Now if we could just get the Mac Press to start providing some serious,
honest and worthy criticism of Apple's product, we might be able to finally
motivate Apple to start making great products again.
As John Siracusa said in his ARS Technica review of Mac OS X, we desperately
need Apple to have a clear and well thought through plan for the Mac OS X
interface instead of the current haphazard approach that makes the X
interface far less desirable than that of Windows XP and Mac OS 9.

Personally, I find it to be an affront to the entire Mac Community that
Apple did not put a DVD-R drive in the base Pro Model of PowerMac. It is
past time that this is a standard feature in this entire product line up.
Yet the Mac Press said nothing. "Oh this is a good upgrade" and "Apple is
doing their best". Well Apple has been doing far from its best and its
really showing us that Apple either does not understanding the market place
and what people expect -OR- they just do not care about their customers and
are going to try to squeeze out the maximum profit possible from the minimum
offering.
My best,
Randy Marshall
